Mr Chandra Cheruvu
Mr Cheruvu is a Consultant Laparoscopic and Upper Gastro-intestinal Surgeon at University Hospital North Staffordshire.
Qualifying in medicine in 1984 part of his higher surgical training was at The St George's University Hospital in London, finally completing his training at St James's University Hospital in Leeds. He later did a fellowship in Bariatric (Obesity) and advanced Laparoscopic surgery in Liverpool. He did further surgical fellowships in Japan and Australia before settling in at the University Hospital in Stoke on Trent, Staffs.
Mr Cheruvu has a special interest in obesity and keyhole surgery which forms a major part of his practice. He has an extremely busy practice at The University Hospital North Staffordshire Stoke on Trent where he has been instrumental in developing a complex variety of advanced Laparoscopic procedures. He also specialises in upper gastro-intestinal problems, operating regularly on the oesophagus (gullet) and stomach. |

Dr Vijay Jeganath MB BS., DA., FRCADr Jeganath completed his undergraduate medical training in India in 1989 and subsequently underwent postgraduate training in anaesthetics both in India and the UK. He trained in the Northwest, East Anglia and West Midlands. After gaining experience in anaesthetics across various specialties, he did his Fellowship in cardiothoracic anaesthesia based at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He has been a consultant anaesthetist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent since 2002. His special interests are cardiac anaesthesia, thoracic anaesthesia, bariatric anaesthesia for obesity surgery, orthopaedic & trauma anaesthesia and day-case anaesthesia especially for laparoscopic surgery. He also has practice privileges at the North Staffordshire Nuffield Hospital, BMI Alexandra Hospital, BMI South Cheshire Private Hospital and BMI Thornbury Hospital. |
